VST ECS Becomes Distributor for Bitdefender in Cambodia
Cambodian IT professionals made a new discovery during a seminar organized by Bitdefender's new Cambodian distributor, VST ECS, in Phnom Penh. They learned about the novel integration of Bitdefender GravityZone Endpoint Protection with EDR, XDR, and Human Risk Analysis, all within a single console. These systemic efficiencies will greatly benefit business and government agencies of new integrated cybersecurity solutions.
This level of integration between Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) with Human Risk Analysis, combined with antivirus, Sandboxing, HyperDetect, and other security services, represents an innovative and comprehensive approach to boosting cybersecurity defense.
The cybersecurity seminar, held by VSTECS in Phnom Penh, commenced with Mr. Nata Kosolpattrapak (VST ECS AVP, Sales & Marketing for CLM) delivering the opening remarks. Drawing parallels to the need for developing new vaccines during the coronavirus pandemic, Bitdefender's new cybersecurity technology enhances protection against the latest threats, strengthening the immune response of cyber infrastructures.
At the seminar, Bitdefender's representatives, Mr. Michal Dominik (Managing Director for Bitdefender Indochina) and Mr. Samart Sriwichai (Indochina Presales Manager), both emphasized the company's commitment to providing integrated cybersecurity solutions that effectively safeguard businesses from ever-evolving threats. Michal stated, "At Bitdefender, we are dedicated to offering comprehensive cybersecurity solutions to protect businesses effectively." Samart added, "Our integrated approach empowers businesses to proactively defend against cyber threats while simplifying their security operations."
Cyberattacks can impact an organization in many ways— from minor disruptions in operations to major financial losses. Malware, a program designed to disrupt or gain unauthorized access into a system, is the most common type of cyberattack and one of the biggest threats in the IT industry. The most frequent attacks are from ransomware, worms, viruses, trojans, and backdoor.
In 2022 global malware attacks increased again due to geopolitical unrest. 5.5 billion malware attacks were detected around the world this year. The majority of these attacks occurred in the Asia-Pacific region. According to Global Cyber-Safety Index of SEON, Cambodia is one of the most exposed countries to cybercrimes.
Highlighting Bitdefender’s robust and holistic approach, Scuderia Ferrari, Ferrari’s F1 racing team, entered in a multi-year partnership with Bitdefender starting late 2022, stemming from a passion for high performance and technological innovation. In cybersecurity and Formula 1, every millisecond counts. Technology makes all the difference in who has the advantage.
“Bitdefender security technology is like Ferrari technology. However, all the best technological tools are managed by people. So cybersecurity is about people” states Michal Dominik. Bitdefender is serious about certifying security training and promoting partners with highly specialized cybersecurity professionals in the Cambodian market.
“Bitdefender GravityZone is our premier endpoint security software distributed through our partners to corporate, government and educational organizations” said Menghuy Heng, Country Manager VST ECS (Cambodia) Co.,Ltd. “GravityZone's full security suite can meet the most demanding requirements and improve the approach to cybersecurity in Cambodia.”
System integrators who attended the event last month had the opportunity to explore Bitdefender GravityZone Endpoint Protection with EDR & XDR Integration. The event further included discussions on market opportunities, real-world case studies, and partner engagement, and networking opportunities that fostered meaningful connections and showcased GravityZone's potential to transform cybersecurity in the digital age.
